Those slow motion shots of the bearded guy turning and running into the other room, with the camera sliding through the set to follow him, were amazing. The secondary motion on his hair and beard and the smoothness of the camera motion were gob-smacking beautiful! Don't know what the story as about, don't care. Just loved watching it in wonder.

I have absolutely no idea what happened in this movie.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it. But, WTF happened? Can someone please explain it?

That was extremely well done, on just about every level. My one criticism would concern the plot: pragmatically, the audience is meant to be left with the sense of having peeked at one tiny facet of some vast scheme. And while it technically succeeds at that goal, it also fails because it leaves too many unresolved questions: who are these people? Aliens? Angels? Time-travelers? &c. And what is "the revolution"? Arguably, this is a tough line to walk: the filmmaker doesn't want to dumb it down too much. But it's not fair to leave the audience to making up random back-stories with no way of determining if they are true or false.

The solution is cough 'simple': the film needs to be extended, allowing the audience to see and understand more of the Big Picture. Just my $0.02

Probably the best performances I've seen from an indy. This ranks up there with any film I've seen casting top level celebrity talent. The director and the actors should take a bow.

First of all the production quality on this is amazing! Great job!

Though I would have liked a little more of an explanation about what was going on. I know you guys probably wanted to leave some room for imagination, but it was a little too vague. Other than that, it was really good!

Keep up the work!

Right after she wakes up: "Did you get it?"
And she shows some glow-thingy in her hand.
So either she was in some other dimension or, perhaps more likely, in "the land of the dead" and got something, a power source, or maybe someone's soul...?

Both guys have cross tattoos... so some kind of religious battle?

Girl says "Welcome to the revolution", so... glow thingy is probably some kind of weapon to use in the upcoming battle against the forces of hell or something.

Floating coin says "liberty" so they might be escapees from somewhere... perhaps hell (and may or may not have been sinners deserving to be there) and now they've not only broken free but also got hold of a weapon to fight back? = "revolution"

Just guessing wildly here based on the few leads I happened to pick up.

mixed feelings about this one. like the concept and cinematography but the premise or plot has me at a total loss. definitely a supernatural vibe with a tad of cult fiction.

Excellent aesthetics...A serious irony is dispersed throughout this short. Excellent narrating, camera, lights and music. This is what a Quentin Tarantino's short would look like, if he was into sci fi.

But keep in mind mr. Jessup that there is always a conclusion and a full story in all his films...Here it feels like I have seen the half part of a very nice, intriguing movie and then suddenly left. There are a lot of unanswered questions here, and it is a pity that we left out in the cold. Perhaps you should consider making a second short giving answers to all the unexplained parts of your story.

I know you're reading this laughing at all the failed attempts at explaining this film.

They’re from the future. The girl went back to the future ( ooh err) to get that fancy bit of technology. Anything else about the film, work it out yourself, I don’t know everything, Jesus!!

A good sci-fi short should, in my opinion, either tell a complete story OR leave the viewer with a satisfying piece of a story with a lot of clues to ruminate on afterwards. This one falls perfectly into the latter category. There were so many little details left unexplained that I feel like there is a whole intricate backstory here, and so many of these films either fail to include enough of those details or try to explain them all within the film, both of which are major put-offs for me. I love that this gives me plenty to ponder over the next little while.

I find that a lot of sci-fi shorts end too abruptly, but this one ended beautifully. I also have to agree with many other commenters, there was some great cinematography here and the slow motion scene of running to the bathroom was absolutely stunning.

Probably the best thing about this film: I've been watching a ton of shorts over the last few days and most of them leave me wanting to move right on to the next as soon as they're done. This one makes me want to stop and think about it a bunch before I move on, and I am very thankful for that!

It would appear, that the art of story telling is dead, it's all "effects" and "affectation", like painting on thin air.

I knew it would end like this. I understand the whole plot now, God showed me the meaning of this short...
Just joking. I'm lying too!
