LIFE in a CAMBODIAN VILLAGE, Cambodia's Local Markets|Resident Movies

I make videos about Khmer life in Cambodia and in the US where I live. My goal is to document different Cambodian communities around the world. Subscribe https://goo.gl/Hh7uKV for more honest and authentic videos about Cambodian life, by a Cambodian-American. A little about myself, I came to the US with my father and mother at the age of 1, in the midst of the Khmer Rouge genocide. I lived for almost 40 years without ever returning to Cambodia. It was only recently that I made my first trip back to my homeland and since then, it has been my goal to learn about and document life there. In between my trips, I try to visit the different Khmer communities all over the US to see the differences and similarities between them. In this video...I've been living for the past few days in a village called Thnot, about 45km south of Sisophon. Today I'll be exploring some of the local markets and I'll also be taking a side trip to a rice mill. My day ends at a pagoda where I receive a monk's blessing for good luck on my travels through Cambodia. I love Cambodia and Cambodian people. Every time returning to Vietnam I managed to make a trip through Cambodia on a bike. Usually for a couple of weeks. Tough life and troublesome politics but the people are just amazing and the culture is stunningly beautiful. I always feel at home in that country even though I am not Khmer and don't even speak the language. Kudos to the Khmer culture!
